by Ashley Lindblad
We are proud to be partnering with the Lowcountry Trash Heroes for our 2022 project!

The Lowcountry Trash Heroes are a grass roots group of volunteers who are focused on stewardship for the rivers, marshes, beaches, sea and land. Clean-up projects are organized through their Facebook Group.

If you would like to make a financial contribution, all funds will be used for supplies such as
* trash bags
* trash pickers
* water
* fuel

To participate in a litter collection project, please join the Lowcountry Trash Heroes Facebook Group. Litter collection projects vary and focus on areas most in need as noticed by members of the group.

"Our focus will be on driving awareness throughout the community regarding volunteer opportunities, reducing plastic use and the need to properly dispose of, and recycle, our trash so it doesn't end up in the waterways." - Chip Collins, Collins Group Realty Community Results Project

Paddle Race for Cancer Survivors
by Morgan Crutchley
The Bluffton Paddle Club will be joining the DragonBoat Beaufort Race Day, one of the Lowcountry's most beloved events, is a mission-driven crusade with extraordinary layers of intrinsic value for participants, survivors, donors, and volunteers. The mission of DragonBoat Beaufort is fundamental in theory and eloquent in execution: Through the physical competition of dragonboat racing and the strength of camaraderie, DragonBoat Beaufort aims to provide cancer survivors with a total sense of wellness. The OUTREACH program is the sole beneficiary of the annual event, with dollars raised going directly to cancer patients in need of mortgage relief, utility payments, car repairs, COBRA insurance premiums, medical supplies, and so much more.

By joining the race, the Bluffton Paddle Club is looking to help raise funds for Cancer Survivors and needs your help. Our goal of $5k is ambitious but know these funds will have a direct impact. Any contributions or help sharing of the fund link is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
